On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in addition to being able to cast a ballot for national and state-level offices, you will also have the opportunity to elect three school board trustees. My name is David Verducci. As a nine-year resident of the community and a candidate for the Upper Saddle River Board of Education, I am asking today for your support.
Across New Jersey, these are difficult times for public schools as an extremely tough financial climate has worsened the problem of high property taxes throughout the state. These, in turn, have risen significantly due in large part to the burden of state mandates faced by our teachers and administrators as they work to educate our children.
I am seeking to become a trustee to help the school district overcome these challenges in order to maintain and further improve the quality of the Upper Saddle River Schools. We already have high achieving schools; together we can make them even better!
Having recently retired after 38 years as a professional educator, my extensive experience both inside and outside the classroom has given me the knowledge, insight and understanding to deal with these issues. A sampling of my qualifications for a seat on the Board of Education are:
- Led Glen Rock to #4 ranking in N.J. Monthly’s “2012 Top 100 Public High Schools”
- Teaching and administrative experience in grades K-12
- 2011 Northern Region School Superintendent of the Year
- High level corporate business experience and knowledge base
- Four university degrees including a Dr. of Philosophy from New York University
To learn more about my background and qualifications, please look for me on Facebook. In addition, I sincerely hope that you will feel free to email me at DrVerducci@gmail.com with questions, concerns or suggestions you might have. I’d certainly welcome hearing from you.
I genuinely appreciate your consideration of my candidacy. On Election Day, Tuesday, November 6, 2012, please vote to give me the opportunity to continue my work on behalf of the children, teachers and families who, together are Upper Saddle River.
Yours Sincerely,
David C. Verducci, Ph.D.
